Kayla is 5 months!

I was going to take a new picture of Kayla but we left our camera in Idaho and still have not received it. I talked to my sister in law today and she just sent it today. I will have to take some pictures this weekend or early next week when we get the camera. I am dying to see what we have for pictures from Christmas. I will have a lot to post that will be late.

Kayla is growing like crazy. Her newest thing she is doing is when it is time for bed I will put her in her crib. She sleeps on her belly the best so yes I break all of the rules. She is usually asleep when I put her in her crib on her belly. Then a few hours later I here a high-pitched giggle. When I go in she is on her back with the biggest smile on her face. She has been rolling herself over and instead of crying for me she starts to talk and giggle. So much more fun to see then a screaming baby. At church she is the highlight of each Sunday. I am not just saying that. I don't get to hold her on Sunday at all. Someone is always stealing her from me. One Sunday they were lining up and telling me to take her from the person who had her. One lady said we need to pass around a sign up sheet with time slots. I am flattered that so many people love her and want to hold her. I will have to go hide out if I want to hold her. She is a sweetheart.

Happy 5 months Kayla!

I guess I will jump on the bandwagon and post our new years resolutions.

1. The first one we wanted to do was to take Alex's sippy cup away. He has been drinking his meals since the day he was born. We tried to take milk away last summer and that did not work. We decided when we got back from Idaho we would take away the sippy cups but not the milk. It has been a week and it is working fabulously. He is eating like he should have from the start. He eats all day long. One of my friends told me about a year ago that I better watch out because Alex was going to eat us out of house and home. I think he is finally achieving that.

2. The next thing on the list to do was to get Kayla out of our bed. It has been a week and she has been in her own crib every night. She still sleeps through the night but she gets up at about 5 in the morning. I am hoping to get her to sleep a few hours more. Maybe once she starts eating she will sleep better.

3. Now time for the typical resolutions. I haven't been to the gym in about 5 months. Kayla has to be 3 months to go to the child care at our gym. Well she turned 3 months and I went back gun ho and ready to go. I hurt my back the 1st day back. When I started to feel better it was to close to Christmas so I decided to wait until the new year. Alex catches everything at the gym and I didn't want to chance him or Kayla catching anything before we traveled. Alex ended up with the flu anyway but it was less then 24 hours so it wasn't so bad. So I am now going to the gym 5 days a week. . . . .at least that is my resolution.

4. We want to take more vacations this year. Erik is already planning a trip to the Dells. (Wisconsin Dells) Then we probably will head back to Vegas this spring. . . .I still would like to visit my parents in India. . . we will make a few trips to Idaho. . . and of course Missouri for Thanksgiving.

I guess that is all we have for now. We wish everyone a Happy New Year! I hope everyone can achieve there New Years resolutions.

Christmas!

Our Family Picture with Santa. Santa comes to grandmas house every year to bring the kids presents and to say hello!

All of the sweet little grand daughters! (under the age of 8 there are many more but they werent here)

The grand kids that were here this year. L to R (Keelee, Porter, Tianna, Keayen, Natalyah, Kayla is on Natalyah, Selah, and Monika. . . .Alex is on the top of the couch refusing the pictures)
We forgot our camera in Idaho so I stole this from my sisters blog. I will post more later when our camera arrives in the mail. Alex was a stinker because he was tired of getting his picture taken. All of the little girls were fighting over who got to hold baby Kayla. I gave Selah and Natalyah the responsibility since they are the older two.
Christmas was very enjoyable. It was fun to get together and be with everyone. It was really fun to show Kayla off. . . I think she was quite a hit. We had to get creative this year with presents because we flew again and didn't want to hall everything back. We got Alex popcorn, Doritos, Milk, a couple of little games and a few other things. The Doritos was the biggest hit. He opened them and said "oh. . . my. . . Gosh" he was so excited. Who needs expensive toys when you have Doritos.
Alex was also a huge fan of Santa Clause. I wasn't sure how he would do this year but he loved him. He wanted to sit on his lap with all of the other grand kids. We had to keep moving him out of the way so the other mommy's and daddy's could get pictures of their kids without Alex's big noggin in the way.
We stayed with cousin Deb and Lance this year. It was a fun change. Very relaxing. We went to my Uncle Kent's and Aunt Janell's a couple of times to help Kent put puzzles together. Overall it was a great Christmas break.
